Multiple photographs come together to create exciting images.
MICHIGAN AVENUE
This is a photomontage of over 200 separate prints from film. Each was cut, edged and fitted into position. The original piece is about 3x6 feet. Putting the buildings together took about 4 days. The sky took a month. Everything in the original is glued down. It took three tries to get the sky to look the way i wanted. The entire scene was shot using a 500mm Nikkor lens on a tripod. The resulting effect is to have both a wide angle and a close-up view.
